Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis and Ron Skagen executed the following actions during the December 27, 2016 Commission meeting held at the District's East Wenatchee office:
Opened bids under bid document 16-32-W, 2017-2018 heavy equipment services for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. The bids will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.
Opened bids under bid document 16-33-W, 2017-2018 forebay debris removal services for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. The bids will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.
Reviewed bid opening results for bid document 16-30-W, manufacture and Install Wells Hydroelectric Project Interpretive Exhibits. The bids will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.
Approved amendments No. 7 and 8 to professional service agreement with The Master's Touch, LLC, for printing and mailing services for the District's customer billings. This will increase the not to exceed limit for 2016 by $5,000 and renew the agreement for the first four months of 2017. (16-218)
Authorized retirement and disposal of computer and printing equipment. These items are non-usable, of no value, and unsuitable for sale at a surplus auction. Due to environmental concerns, electronic equipment must be recycled through designated recycling facilities or through manufacturer recycling programs.(16-219)
Approved amendment to the MVPD signal transport agreement with Fox Cable Network Services, LLC. Necessary due to acquisition of Fox News Network content. (16-220)
Awarded contract 16-29-W, 2017 grounds maintenance to Reeves Lawn and Spray Service, LLC, the lowest responsive bidder. (16-221)
Authorized renewal of contract 15-26-W, building maintenance for the East Wenatchee facility with ABM Janitorial Services for an additional year as allowed by contract. (16-222)
Approved a professional service agreement with Biomark, Inc. for PIT tags and related detection equipment and services for 2017 at a cost not to exceed $354,536 and expiration date of December 31, 2017. (16-223)
Authorized a professional service agreement with Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife for the 2017 HCP hatchery monitoring and evaluation (M&E) implementation program. The Wells Habitat Conservation Plan requires the development and annual implementation of an M&E plan for the District's hatchery programs. The agreement is not to exceed $1,005,839 and will conclude December 31, 2017. (16-224)
Approved an employee assistance program agreement with KEPRO Acquisitions, Inc. For several years Douglas PUD has offered the service of an Employee Assistance Program to all employees and their immediate families. The cost to Douglas PUD is $3.49 per employee per month.(16-225)
Approved an agreement with Avista Corporation, Inc. for purchase and sale of power during 2017. (16-226)
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. January 9, 2017 at the District's East Wenatchee office.
