Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis, Molly Simpson and Ron Skagen executed the following actions during the February 22, 2016 Commission meeting held at the District's Bridgeport office:

Reviewed the bid opening results for bid document 16-01-D, supply and deliver 15kV vacuum circuit breakers for the Veedol Substation. Schneider Electric USA, Inc of LaVergne, TN was the apparent lowest responsive bidder. The bids will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award

Authorized acceptance of work and final payment to Black Rock Construction and Development LLC under contract 15-16-D, construct Bridgeport equipment storage building. All work has been completed and has been determined to meet the contract specifications. (16-032)

Approved a call for bids under bid document 16-07-D, construct Veedol Substation. Necessary to serve the growing Battermann Industrial Park area. (16-033)

Authorized addendum No. 1 to clarify bid specifications in bid document 16-09-D, providing pole testing and treating services. (16-034)

Authorized a renewable energy certificate purchase and sale agreement with OneEnergy, Inc. Under this arrangement OneEnergy has the right to claim and report non-power attributes associated with the District's share of the output from Nine Canyon Wind Project occurring during calendar year 2015.  (16-035)

Affirmed change order No. 3 to contract 14-19-W, Wells Hatchery modernization. Changes include different railing material, modified alignment of new well water line and increasing the size of the utility vault. These changes increase the contract $35,526 for a total not to exceed cost of $35,908,096. (16-036)

Affirmed addendum No. 1 to clarify bid specifications in bid document 15-27-W, 2016 heavy equipment services for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. (16-037)

The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. March 14, 2016 at the District's East Wenatchee office.
