Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Ron Skagen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the October 28, 2013 Commission meeting held at the District's East Wenatchee office:

Authorized amendment No. 3 to professional services agreement with APS Healthcare Northwest, Inc.  This will extend the agreement until December 31, 2014. For several years Douglas PUD has offered the service of an Employee Assistance Program to all employees and their immediate families.  The cost to Douglas PUD is $3.49 per employee per month. Approved amendment to the professional service agreement with Marsh, USA Inc. Marsh has agreed to add Information Security and Privacy Liability Insurance coverage to the agreement. (13-166)

Authorized renewal of property insurance coverage with Ace American Insurance Company and Liberty Mutual Insurance Company.(13-167)

Approved a weatherization agreement with the Chelan-Douglas Community Action Council.  Douglas PUD has participated in the Washington State Department of Community Development's Energy Matchmaker Low Income Weatherization Program through the Chelan-Douglas Community Action Council since 1988.  Douglas PUD will contribute $40,000 for 2014. The program utilizes matching funds to weatherize houses for low-income residents of Douglas County. (13-168)

Authorized extension of signal transport agreement with King Broadcasting Company.  This amendment will extend the agreement to December 31, 2014.  These agreements are required by most networks to receive and transport the signal over the Douglas County Community Network. (13-169)

Approved a professional service agreement with Biomark, Inc. for Pit-tagging services regarding Wells Hatchery steelhead and Methow Hatchery spring Chinook. Necessary for Wells HCP monitoring and evaluation programs. Biomark, Inc. will be responsible for PIT tagging 15,000 steelhead and 10,000 Chinook at a cost not-to-exceed $25,209. (13-170)
