Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Ron Skagen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the November 25, 2013 Commission meeting held at the District's East Wenatchee office:

Approved revising Schedule 6 of the Electric Distribution System Customer Service Policies to meet the changing business needs of the District's Douglas County Community Network. (13-183)

Authorized the right-of-way grant renewal with United States Department of Interior Bureau of Land Management for a line serving the Rocky Butte television repeater near Bridgeport. (13-184)

Established the assessment roll of Local Utility District (LUD) No. 1 of Douglas County, the Rio Vista Street Lighting System. The Commission was advised the 2014 assessment will be $28.00 per lot. The public hearing date is set for December 16, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. in the East Wenatchee Headquarters. Any lot owner in the LUD area wishing to comment on the assessment may do so in writing prior to that time or by attending the hearing in person. (13-185)

Approved a call for bids under bid document 13-22-W, 2014 Grounds Maintenance. The District periodically needs to have certain scheduled and unscheduled grounds maintenance work performed at various District locations. (13-186)

Approved addendum No. 1 to bid document 13-06-W, 480V circuit breaker installation for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. The pre-bid walk through with potential bidders revealed necessary clarifications to the bid document. (13-187)

Approved an agreement for professional services with Bioanalysts, Inc., for the services of Dr. Tracy Hillman as Chairperson of the Wells Habitat Conservation Plan Tributary Committee. This three-year contract is not to exceed $110,000. (13-188)

Commissioner Heminger announced he will not seek reelection in 2014.  His term will conclude at the end of December 2014."It has been an honor and privilege to serve the people of Douglas County as a PUD commissioner for nearly 23 years at this point. When my current term expires in a little over a year, it will be time to let someone else lead the District in a conservative, consistent manner," said Lynn.  

The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. December 2, 2013 at the District's East Wenatchee office.
