Douglas County PUD Commissioners Ronald E Skagen, Molly Simpson and Aaron J. Viebrock executed the following actions during the May 28, 2019 Commission meeting held at the District's Wells Hydroelectric Project:

Awarded Journeyman Mechanic Richard Miller with his thirty-year service award. Commissioner Simpson thanked John on behalf of the citizens of Douglas County for his years of service. "Best place I've ever worked! As a local boy who was here before the dam was built, it is a special thing to have this in your backyard," said Richard.

Declared a Ford F250 truck had reached the end of its useful life and is surplus and authorized its sale at public auction. (19-067)
Approved a call for bids under bid document 19-22-D, supply and deliver two 230 kV breakers for Rapids switchyard. Necessary for the Rapids-Columbia 230 KV Transmission Line Project. (19-068)
Authorized a professional service agreement with Scada and Controls Engineering, Inc. for software and hardware technical suppler for the Wells Hatchery SCADA System. (19-069)
Approved amendment No. 9 to professional service agreement 12-17-W, consulting engineering services for the Wells Hydroelectric Project with Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. This will increase the not-to-exceed cost $1,500,000 for a total not to exceed limit of $12,200,000 and extend the termination date to December 31, 2019. The agreement is for "on-call" engineering and the scope of services varies from year-to-year depending on the District's needs for Wells Project operations.(19-070)
Authorized amendment No. 1 to professional service agreement 15-25-W, for the replacement of the generator step-up transformers at the Wells Hydroelectric Project with Doble Engineering Group. This will extend the term to July 31, 2021. (19-071)
Approved a professional service agreement with the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation for Wells Hydroelectric Project Archaeological monitoring. This agreement will not-exceed $108,157 and will conclude May 30, 2020. (19-072)
Authorized continued employment of Gary R. Ivory as the District's General Manager. Gary has been the General Manager since July 2017. The Board of Commissioners believes it is in the best interest of the District for Gary to continue as General Manager. The Employment Agreement defines various severance terms to facilitate the retention and employment of a highly qualified General Manager. "I really appreciate the Commission's support and will continue to do my best to serve Douglas County PUD," said Gary. (19-073)
Cancelled the June 10, 2019 Commission Meeting due to Commission travel schedules. The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. June 24, 2019 at the District's East Wenatchee office.
