Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Ron Skagen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the January 14, 2008 Commission meeting held at the Bridgeport office:
Approved a call for bids under bid document 08-01-D, single-phase padmount distribution transformers. With increased price and long lead times, it is beneficial for the District to purchase a 12-month supply of single-phase padmount transformers. (08-03)
Authorized an interlocal cooperative agreement with the City of East Wenatchee. Due to a City of East Wenatchee road project, utilities will need to be relocated. This agreement will coordinate utility work in the City of East Wenatchee’s road project bid package. (08-04)
Approved an agreement for professional services with the University of Iowa for development of a total dissolved gas model for Wells Dam. The cost of the agreement is not to exceed $204,298. (08-05)
Authorized advertisement for professional architectural/engineering services for the 2007 Recreation Action Plan for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. The selected firm will provide design, engineering and bid specifications for all the improvements and activities listed in the 2007 Recreation Action Plan. (08-06)
Approved land use permit 1136-01 for Wells Tract 1136. This permit will allow an access path to the Wells Reservoir on District property. (08-07)
Authorized execution of a Purchase and Sale Agreement with Russell Post III with regard to coho mitigation for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. This purchase will secure property for the Yakama Nation’s coho program near Winthrop. (08-08)
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. January 21, 2008 at the East Wenatchee Headquarters office.
