Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Ron Skagen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the March 24, 2008 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters office:
Presented System Operator Paul Scott with his twenty-year service award. Commissioner Heminger thanked Paul on behalf of the citizens of Douglas County for his many years of service. Paul thanked the Commission and said the last 20 years had been wonderful and he hopes the next 10 years will be also.
Awarded Central Moloney of Pine Bluff, AR, contract 08-01-D, single-phase padmount distribution transformers. Central Moloney, with a bid price of $415,070, was the lowest responsive bidder. (08-63)
Approved addendum No. 1 to bid document 08-03-D, distribution electrical and communication dock crew(s). This changes the bid opening date to April 21, 2008. (08-64)
Approved a call for bids under bid document 08-14-D, Distribution tree trimming. (08-65)
Authorized funding the 2008-2010 Pikeminnow Removal Program for the Wells Hydroelectric Project with Columbia Research of Chelan. This program has removed approximately 152,000 pikeminnow from the Wells Project area since 1998. The contract is not to exceed $130,000 for the 2008 pikeminnow removal program. (08-66)
Approved purchase of certain real property associated with Wells Tracts 65, 70, 75, 75A, 75B, 75 E-3 and 134 from John Daniel Gebbers, Reba W. Gebbers and Gebbers Farms, Inc. (08-67)
Approved renewal of fiduciary liability insurance with American International Group (AIG). (08-68)
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. March 31, 2008 at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office.
