Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger Ron Skagen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the June 09, 2008 Commission meeting held at the Bridgeport office:
Approved vendor selection for request for proposals 08-31-D, Network Security Assessment. Anitian Enterprise Security was determined the most qualified based on vendor qualifications, external security assessment, business security assessment, SCADA security assessment, public network security assessment customer references and cost. Authorized a call for bids under bid document 08-32-D, traffic control flagging. Flagging services are necessary on a regular basis for Distribution System construction work along roadways. This contract has an option to extend the contract for two additional one-year periods. (08-135)
Approved a call for bids under bid document 08-33-D, exterior improvements to Bridgeport Office Building. The improvements will increase insulation and weather proofing of the exterior walls and replace the entry stairs. (08-136)
Authorized a call for bids under bid document 08-34-D, Rapids Switchyard bus equipment and steel support structures. (08-137)
Approved rescinding resolution No. 07-291 and amending alternate bid procedure for purchase of material, equipment or supplies, the contract price of which is greater than $15,000 but less than $60,000. (08-138)
Authorized change order No. 2 to contract 06-41-W, generator rebuild for unit refurbishment for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. The change will allow an alternate design and construction of buildings C and D. This change order will increase the not to exceed limit $141,950 bringing the total not to exceed limit to $151,252,750. (08-139)
Awarded Industrial Battery Systems of Seattle, contract 08-27-W, battery testing and maintenance. Industrial Battery Systems, with a bid price of $20,770, was the lowest responsive bidder. (08-140)
Opened bids submitted for bid 08-25-D Rapids Switchyard 115 kV breakers.The apparent low bid was received from McKaig Evergreen of Bothell. The bids will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. June 16, 2008 at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office.
