Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Ron Skagen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the July 15, 2013 Commission meeting held at the District’s East Wenatchee office:

Approved a call for bids under bid document 13-16-W, perform on-site battery testing services. Periodic testing is needed on battery systems that provide back-up power to critical District operations. (13-113)

Authorized acceptance and final payment for the first year of work on contract 11-09-D, asphalt installation and repair. (13-114)

Approved revision of Schedule 6 of the Electric Distribution System Customer Service Policies. This revision will decrease the contribution in aid of construction cost for new connections to the DCCN to $150 and allow that fee to be billed through the service provider. (13-115)

Awarded Halme Builders contract 13-01-W, fire protection and service water system upgrades for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. With a bid price of $3,982,000, Halme Builders was the lowest responsive bidder. (13-116)

Awarded Cerium Networks contract 13-14-W, PBX upgrade. With a bid price of $148,128.51, Cerium Networks was the lowest responsive bidder. (13-117)

Approved an agreement for professional services with Cascade Biological Supply for nuisance animal control needed to protect salmon and steelhead reared at the District’s fish facilities and to protect trees on the Wells Reservoir. The cost of the agreement is not to exceed $9,000. (13-118)

Accepted bids received for surplus District property sold by Booker Auction. The auction provided a net return of $18,683.75 to Douglas PUD. (13-119)

The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. July 22, 2013 at the District’s East Wenatchee office.
