Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Ron Skagen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the August 5, 2013 Commission meeting held at the District's East Wenatchee office:
Authorized amendment No. 5 to Professional Service Agreement with Commonwealth Associates, Inc. under RFQ 10-13-D, consulting engineering services for Douglas-Rapids 230 kV Transmission Line Project. Necessary for an extended construction period, this amendment increases the not to exceed limit $60,000 bringing the total not to exceed limit to $2,525,376.00.
Approved addendum No. 1 to bid document 13-16-W, perform on-site battery testing services. The addendum responds to contract document questions and extends the bid opening one week to August 19, 2013.
Authorized acceptance of work and final payment to Aztech Electric, Inc. under contract 12-13-D, construct Rapids Switchyard expansion. All work has been completed and determined to meet bid specifications.
Approved revision of the insurance requirements of the New Metering Interconnection Standards. The revision was necessary to comply with RCW 80-60.
Authorized the funding request of North Central Educational Service District (NCESD) in the amount of $24,097.39 for the 2013-2014 school year. In effect since 1988, agreements between Douglas PUD and NCESD have been established to provide educational curriculum for every kindergarten through fifth grade student in Douglas County. Classes pertain to electrical generation, electric distribution, conservation, safety and wise use of water resources.
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. August 12, 2013 at the District's Bridgeport office.
