News Release – December 20, 2021
Douglas County PUD Commissioners Aaron J. Viebrock, Molly Simpson and Ronald E Skagen executed the following actions during the December 20, 2021 Commission meeting held at the District’s East Wenatchee office:
Authorized change order No. 3 to contract 19-09-W, replacement 114.4kV main generator breakers for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. Necessary due to unit outage availability. The change will extend the contract completion date to May 31, 2022. (21-223)
Approved amendment No. 1 to the professional service agreement with Perteet. The amendment will increase the contract amount by $93,160 due to increased design requests and change the rate charged as allowed by contract. (21-224)
Authorized Note No. 10 loan from the Electric Distribution System Capital Project Revolving Loan Fund to the Wells Hydroelectric Project for construction capital. (21-225)
Adopted the Clean Energy Implementation Plan. The plan considers renewable energy, energy efficiency and demand response as required by the Clean Energy Transformation Act legislation. (21-226)
Approved an interlocal agreement for fire protection services with Douglas County Fire District No. 4. In accordance with RCW 52.30.020, the agreement is for the protection and safety of personnel and property of the District. This agreement is effective through December 31, 2031. (21-227)
Authorized a legal services agreement with the law firm of Jeffers, Danielson, Sonn and Aylward, P.S. Effective January 1, 2022 through January 1, 2023. (21-228)
The next regular meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. January 10, 2022 at the District’s East Wenatchee Office.
