News Release – August 8, 2022
Douglas County PUD Commissioners Aaron J. Viebrock, Molly Simpson and Ronald E Skagen executed the following actions during the August 8, 2022 Commission meeting held at the District’s East Wenatchee office:
Approved acceptance of work and final payment to Olsson Industrial Electric under contract 19-09-W, replacement 14.4 kV breakers for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. All work is complete and determined to meet the bid specifications. (22-135)
Authorized acceptance or work and final payment to WEG Transformers USA under contract 20-29-D, supply and deliver 230-115kV 225 MVA, autotransformers to Lincoln Rock Switchyard. All work is complete and determined to meet the bid specifications. (22-136)
Approved acceptance of work and final payment to FIBA Technologies, Inc. under contract 21-03-D, supply and deliver hydrogen storage tanks. All work is complete and determined to meet the bid specifications. (22-137)
Authorized acceptance of work and final payment to American Babbitt Bearing under contract 22-18-W, generator thrust bearing refurbishment at the Wells Hydroelectric Project. All work is complete and determined to meet the bid specifications. (22-138)
Approved land use permit 91-01, Terry and Tammy Taylor. The permit is for use of Project lands for a walkway. (22-139)
Authorized land use permit 658-02, Spokane Teachers Credit Union. The permit is for use of Project lands for existing landscaping and other previously permitted activities. (22-140)
Opened bids under bid docs, 21-53-W, fire protection system upgrades and miscellaneous piping at the Wells Hydroelectric Project, 22-35-W, milling machine for the Wells Hydroelectric Project and 22-44-W, rehabilitate Unit 5 trashracks at the Wells Hydroelectric Project. All bids will be evaluated prior to recommendation for contract award.
Approved the District’s Treasurer to create the 2022 Construction Fund account. (22-141)
Heard a report on the Douglas County Community Network. The network currently has 7,395 end users.
The next regular meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. August 22, 2022 at the District’s Bridgeport Office.
