News Release – September 2, 2025
Douglas County PUD Commissioners Molly Simpson, Aaron J. Viebrock and Ronald E. Skagen executed the following actions during the September 2, 2025 Commission meeting held at the District’s East Wenatchee office:
Reviewed the bid opening results under Bid Document 25-22-D, 115kV Breakers for the Waterville Plateau. All bids will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.
Approved land use permit 30-01, Estate of Gene Sargent. The permit is for use of Project lands for existing landscaping and driveway. (25-056)
Authorized land use permit 496-03, Bange Trust, Ronald and Holly Bange. The permit is for use of Project lands for existing dock, bulkhead and landscaping. (25-057)
Declared electronic equipment to be surplus and authorized disposal. The electronic equipment is surplus and no longer useful to District operations. (25-058)
Declared a special market condition to purchase hydrogen mobile refueling equipment. There is an opportunity to acquire hydrogen equipment from a liquidation sale at a significant discount. (25-059)
Approved land use agreement with the Bonneville Power Administration necessary to re-conductor an existing transmission line. (25-060)
Awarded contract 25-22-D, 115kV Breakers for the Waterville Plateau to Carlson Sales Metering Solutions, LLC, the lowest responsive bidder. (25-061)
The next regular meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. September 16, 2025 at the District’s East Wenatchee Office.
