News Release – July 25, 2022
Douglas County PUD Commissioners Aaron J. Viebrock, Molly Simpson and Ronald E Skagen executed the following actions during the July 25, 2022 Commission meeting held at the District’s East Wenatchee office:

Awarded Kim Girdler, Customer Accounting Supervisor with her thirty year service award. Commissioner Viebrock thanked Kim on behalf of the citizens of Douglas County for her years of service. She thanked the Commission, talked about various roles she has had at the utility and said “It’s been amazing, surreal and I’m grateful. I feel truly blessed to work at this great place with great people offering great customer service.”
Authorized acceptance of work and final payment to H2O Well Service for the second year under contract 20-05-W, hatchery well and pump maintenance. All work is complete and determined to meet bid specifications. (22-128)
Approved change order No. 2 to contract 21-09-D, Construct Lincoln Rock Switchyard. The change includes dead-end structure work, additional cables, materials and labor. The change increases the not to exceed cost $45,767. (22-129)
Authorized acceptance of work and final payment to Crown Texas, Inc. under contract 21-56-D, control and relay panels for Urban Industrial Substation. All work is complete and determined to meet bid specifications. (22-130)
Approved amendment No. 5 to professional service agreement with Electrical Consultants, Inc. Necessary to cover the additional work related to the Rocky Reach to Chelan Falls 115 kV Transmission Line, Hydrogen Project, Lincoln Rock Switchyard, Urban Industrial Substation and relay setting work for the Rapids to Columbia 230kV transmission line. The change increases the not to exceed cost $525,000. (22-131)
Authorized amendment No. 1 to professional service agreement 21-23-W, Mechanical Engineering services at the Wells Hydroelectric Project with Black and Veatch Corporation. The District has an ongoing need for Mechanical Engineering for Spillway Gates. The amendment will increases the not to exceed cost $800,000 and extend the completion date to December 31, 2024. Affirmed change order No. 1 to contract 22-17-W, Methow Hatchery groundwater valve replacement. Necessary relocation of valves, modified excavation methods and a new 8” defrost line due to unforeseen site conditions. The change increases the not to exceed cost $67,081. (22-133)
Affirmed the sole source contract negotiation and purchase order for hydrogen fueling equipment with OneH2, Inc. The contract not to exceed cost is $2,863,400 and will conclude July 30, 2023. (22-134)
The next regular meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. August 8, 2022 at the District’s East Wenatchee Office.
