Commission Meeting Report 2021-09-27

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Aaron J. Viebrock, Molly Simpson and Ronald E Skagen executed the following actions during the September 27, 2021 Commission meeting held at the District’s East Wenatchee office:

Reviewed the bid opening results for bid document 21-45-W, spillway 7 concrete, embedded steel and gate repair at the Wells Hydroelectric Project. All bids will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.

Authorized renewal of Fiduciary Liability Insurance with AIG. (21-155)

Approved land use agreement with Bonneville Power Administration. Necessary for the operation of the Renewable Hydrogen Production Facility and Lincoln Rock Switchyard facilities. (21-156)

Authorized change order No. 1 to contract 19-23-D, supply and deliver hydrogen electrolyzer equipment. Material delays and auxiliary equipment changes have led to delays in site construction and delayed equipment delivery. This change will extend the contract completion date to February 25, 2022. (21-157)

Approved a call for bids under bid document 21-37-D, construct hydrogen production and fueling facility. (21-158)

Authorized staff to apply for grant funding from the Public Works Board and adopt a Greenhouse Gas Policy. These funds would be used to bring next generation broadband to rural Douglas County. (21-159)

Approved Northwest Power Pool’s General Service Agreement Work Order for the Western Resource Adequacy Program. This program will allow the District to access resources under critical conditions, while also requiring the District to provide similar resources to program participants. This agreement will not exceed $200,000 and will conclude December 2022. (21-160)

The next regular meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. October 11, 2021 at the District’s East Wenatchee Office. ​
