Douglas County PUD Commissioners Ronald E. Skagen, Molly Simpson and Aaron J. Viebrock executed the following actions during the June 25, 2018 Commission meeting held at the District’s East Wenatchee office:
Opened bids under bid document 18-19-W, rehabilitate Unit 2 trashracks at the Wells Hydroelectric Project. All bids will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.
Heard bid opening results from bid document 18-02-D, construct Lone Pine Substation. All bids will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.

Commissioner Viebrock, John Brown, Commissioner Skagen
Awarded Property Supervisor John Brown with his twenty-year service award. Commissioner Skagen thanked John on behalf of the citizens of Douglas County for his years of dedicated service. John thanked the Commission and said “I appreciate the opportunity the District has given me. My department might not be the nuts and bolts keeping the lights on, but we have a good purpose to serve and get to do fun work.”
Awarded contract 18-02-D, construct Lone Pine Substation to Potelco, Inc. the lowest responsive bidder. (18-112)
Approved a call for bids under bid document 18-04-W, replace hydraulic metal shear at the Wells Hydroelectric Project. (18-113)
Authorized amendment No. 1 to Professional Service Agreement with Kestrel Power Engineering LLC. This amendment will increase the not-to-exceed amount $2,200 which is necessary for additional reporting. (18-114)
Approved amendment No. 1 to the Professional Service Agreement with Cramer Fish Sciences. This amendment will extend the term of the agreement to July 31, 2018 to provide time to complete the report. (18-115)
Authorized approving the Facility Use Agreement with the Confederated Tribes and Bands of the Yakama Nation. Necessary to provide access to District hatchery and trapping facilities for collection, assessment, and propagation of live fish, and for the collection of surplus hatchery returns. (18-116)
Authorized Human Resource Administrator, Barbara Davis to be named as designee to administer the provisions of the District’s Deferred Compensation Plan. (18-117)
Rescheduled the July 23rd Commission meeting to July 30th due to schedules.
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. July 9, 2018 at the District’s East Wenatchee office.
