Douglas County PUD Commissioners Ronald E Skagen, Molly Simpson and Aaron J. Viebrock executed the following actions during the September 9, 2019 Commission meeting held at the District’s East Wenatchee office:
Approved addendum No. 7 under 1996 Operating and Service Agreement dated September 23, 1996 with Okanogan County PUD. This addendum will modernize the agreement to reflect the actual labor costs and impacts to District operations. (19-108)
Authorized continuation of an agreement with the U.S. Geological Survey for 2019-20 river-gaging station maintenance and operation costs. River gaging is related to the operation of the Wells Hydroelectric Project and the cost is not to exceed $28,631. (19-109)
Approved an agreement with U.S. Geological Survey for water temperature data collection 2019-2022. The Wells Project license requires Douglas PUD to monitor water temperatures at boundary locations on the Wells Project and the Wells Forebay. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has conducted this work for the District since 2013. Data collected by USGS meets stringent quality assurance and quality control requirements. This agreement will not exceed $64,412 and will expire September 30, 2022. (19-110)
Scheduled a public hearing to consider adoption of 2019 Update to the Integrated Resource Planning Study. The hearing will be September 23, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at the East Wenatchee Headquarters. The Integrated Resource Plan evaluates the full range of energy alternatives, including conservation and renewable generation in order to provide adequate and reliable service to customers at the lowest system cost.
