Commission Meeting Report 2020-02-19

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Molly Simpson, Ronald E Skagen​ and Aaron J. Viebrock executed the following actions during the February19, 2020 Commission meeting held at the District’s Wells Hydroelectric Project:

Awarded Office Engineer Kristy Oules with her twenty year service award. Commissioner Simpson thanked Kristy on behalf of the citizens of Douglas County for her years of service. Kristy thanked the Commission and talked about her previous assignments with the District.

Awarded contract 19-33-D, construct Rapids Switchyard Phase 3 to Magnum Power, LLC the lowest responsive bidder. (20-033)

Authorized acceptance of work and final payment to Reeves Lawn and Spray Service, LLC under contract 16-29-W. 2017 grounds maintenance. All work is complete and determined to meet bid specifications. (20-034)

Approved change order No. 1 to contract 19-09-W, replacement 14.4 KV main generator breakers for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. The change will facilitate the installation of all ten breakers by an authorized installer, Olsson Industrial Electric and extend the warranty to five years. This change will increase the not-to-exceed cost $1,398,745. (20-035)

Authorized acceptance of work and final payment to Irrigation Technology and Control Inc. for the third year under contract 16-25-W, 2017 hatchery well and pump maintenance. All work is complete and determined to meet bid specifications. (20-036)

Approved acceptance of work and final payment to Clearwater Construction and Management, LLC under contract 19-02-W, Wells Hatchery dirt pond reconfiguration and liner replacement. All work is complete and determined to meet bid specifications. (20-037)

Authorized award of contract 19-31-W, 2020 well drilling at Douglas PUD hatchery facilities to Holt Services, Inc. the lowest responsive bidder. (20-038)

Authorized interconnection and service agreement with Pine Canyon Growers as required by the Customer Service Policies, Section 36. (20-039)

Heard a report on the Douglas County Community Network. The network currently has 5,354 end users.

The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. March 9, 2020 at the District’s East Wenatchee office.
