Douglas County PUD Commissioners Aaron J. Viebrock, Molly Simpson and Ronald E Skagen executed the following actions during the November 8, 2021 Commission meeting held at the District’s East Wenatchee office:
Acceptance of work and final payment to Galvanizers, Inc. under contract 21-11-D, supply and deliver bus support steel for Lincoln Rock Switchyard. All work is complete and determined to meet bid specifications. (21-186)
Affirmed change order No. 3 to contract 20-29-D, supply and deliver 230-115kV substation transformers to Urban Industrial Substation. Arresters needed to be upsized at a cost of $2,901. (21-187)
Affirmed change order No. 1 to contract 21-25-D, supply and deliver 230x115kV substation transformers to Urban Industrial Substation. Arresters needed to be upsized at a cost of $11,604. (21-188)
Rejected bids under Bid Document 21-28-W, replace five generator step-up transformers at the Wells Hydroelectric Project. There were no acceptable bids. (21-189)
Rejected bids under Bid Document 21-45-W, spillway 7 concrete, embedded steel and gate repair at the Wells Hydroelectric Project. There were no acceptable bids. (21-190)
Approved a call for bids under Bid Document 21-57-W, Unit 7 spillway and gate repair at the Wells Hydroelectric Project to ensure reliable operation. (21-191)
Authorized surplus and salvage of distribution transformers that are no longer in use, exceeded their life expectancy or are no longer operational. (21-192)
Continued the budget hearing for the Distribution System and Wells Hydroelectric Project for calendar year 2022. The hearing will remain open until Monday, December 13, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. in the East Wenatchee office.
Established a public hearing to identify vulnerable populations in accordance to the Clean Energy Implementation Plan. The hearing will be held November 22, 2021 at 1:30. Public participation is available by phone and video. Instructions will be at the top of the agenda posted the Friday before the meeting. (21-193)
Approved no changes to the Commissioner District boundaries. Commission district boundaries were examined with the updated 2020 census data. A hearing was held after proper notice. With only a minor deviation from equity the current boundaries were retained. (21-194)
