News Release – 6/14/2021
Douglas County PUD Commissioners Aaron J. Viebrock, Molly Simpson and Ronald E Skagen executed the following actions during the June 14, 2021 Commission meeting held at the District’s East Wenatchee office:
Authorized change order No. 2 to contract 21-04-D, hydrogen and switchyard site grading. Changes involve the storm water system and additional blocks in the retaining wall increasing the cost $48,077. (21-089)
Approved a call for bids under bid document 21-22-D, control and relay panels for Lincoln Rock Switchyard. Necessary to provide protection, control and communication with equipment. (21-090)
Awarded contract 21-25-D, supply and deliver substation transformers to Urban Industrial Substation to WEG Transformers USA the lowest responsive bidder. (21-091)
Authorized amendment No. 1 to general services agreement with Northwest Power Pool Corporation for Individual Work Order for Area 40 Coordination. This updates the scope of work and deliverables as well as the allocation of participant financial responsibility. (21-092)
Approved amendment No. 2 to professional service agreement with RH2 Engineering to assist with the water rights change application. This amendment will increase the agreement $16,182.
Authorized land use permit 32-02, Cronin and Mcallister. The permit is for use of Project lands for an existing joint use dock. (21-094)
Approved land use permit 630A-04, Divis Family Trust. The permit is for use of Project lands for replacement of an existing joint use dock. (21-095)
Authorized change order No. 1 to contract 21-07-D, install communications microducting in Douglas County. This change will authorize a City of East Wenatchee permitting fee and expand the installation area outside city limits increasing the cost $500,000. (21-096)
Authorized a professional service agreement with the Warren Group, LLC. for lobbying and rule making activities. This agreement will not exceed $54,000 and will conclude June 30, 2022. (21-097)
Declared an emergency exists and authorized repair of Unit two Generator Thrust Bearing. With spring river flows picking up, the District needs to have Unit 2 back in operation as soon as possible. (21-098)
Heard a report on the Douglas County Community Network. The network currently has 6,623 end users.
The next regular meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. June 28, 2021 at the District’s East Wenatchee Office.
