Commissioners and Service Award recipients Goodwin and Wentworth
Commissioner Viebrock, Tom Goodwin, Eric Wentworth, Commissioner Simpson & Commissioner Skagen

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Aaron J. Viebrock, Molly Simpson and Ronald E Skagen executed the following actions during the June 6, 2022 Commission meeting held at the District’s East Wenatchee office:

Awarded Tom Goodwin, Networks Communication Foremen and Eric Wentworth, Journeyman Wireman with their twenty year service awards. Commissioner Viebrock thanked Tom and Eric on behalf of the citizens of Douglas County for their years of service. They thanked the Commission.

Approved acceptance of work and final payment to Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC for the third year under contract 194-D, provide distribution tree trimming services. All work is complete and determined to meet the bid specifications. (22-102)

Authorized acceptance of work and final payment to Galvanizers, INC. under contract 21-47-D, tubular steel structures for Urban Industrial Substation. All work is complete and determined to meet the bid specifications. (22-103)

Affirmed change order No. 3 to contract 21-49-D, construct Urban Industrial Substation. Feeder conduits need to be extended to allow for connection without disturbing the substation. This will increase the not to exceed cost $16,260. (22-104)

Affirmed change order No. 1 to contract 22-18-W, generator thrust bearing shoe refurbishment for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. The change includes repairing a crack in one of the shoes. This increases the not to exceed cost $4,600 and extends the project 4 weeks. (22-105)

Authorized change order No. 1 to contract 21-09-D, Construct Lincoln Rock Switchyard. The change includes feeder conduits with thermal back fill, moving a fence and installation of additional cable and hardware. The change increases the not to exceed cost $142,351. (22-106)

Approved revisions to the Customer Service Policies. Changes clarify how payments are applied to a customer’s account and removes the late fee to better serve customers who are at risk of service disconnection. (22-107)

Authorized a general services agreement with Northwest Power Pool Corporation for individual work order for system model validation. As required as a Transmission Operator, the District provides data to support system model validation. This agreement will not exceed $6,110. (22-108)

Heard a report on the Douglas County Community Network. The network currently has 7,272 end users.

The next regular meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. June 27, 2022 at the District’s East Wenatchee Office.
