News Release – July 11, 2022

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Aaron J. Viebrock, Molly Simpson and Ronald E Skagen executed the following actions during the July 11, 2022 Commission meeting held at the District’s East Wenatchee office:

Heard the bid opening results under bid document 22-06-D, rebuild and reconductor Rocky reach to Chelan Falls No. 1 Phase 2.

Awarded contract 22-06-D, rebuild and reconductor Rocky reach to Chelan Falls No. 1 Phase 2 to Magnum Power the lowest responsive bidder. (22-123)

Approved a call for bids under bid document 22-35-W, milling machine addition for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. (22-124)

Authorized a call for bids under bid document 22-44-W, rehabilitate Unit 5 trashracks at the Wells Hydroelectric Project. Work would include cleaning and coating one set of 15 trashracks and one set of 3 slot covers for installation in the intakes of Unit 5. (22-125)

Approved award of contract 22-33-D, wood transmission poles to Stella-Jones Corporation. The lowest responsive bidder would not agree to the terms and conditions of the Contract and therefore was rejected. (22-126)

Authorized a professional service agreement with the Warren Group, LLC. for development of the State’s hydrogen value chain and wholesale market. This agreement will not exceed $18,000 and will conclude December 31, 2022. (22-127)

Heard a report on the Douglas County Community Network. The network currently has 7,318 end users.

The next regular meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. July 25, 2022 at the District’s East Wenatchee Office.
