News Release – May 21, 2024

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Ronald E. Skagen, Aaron J. Viebrock and Molly Simpson executed the following actions during the May 21, 2024 Commission meeting held at the District’s Wells Hydroelectric Project:

Authorized surplus and salvage of Distribution Transformers that are no longer in use, have exceeded their life expectancy, and/or are no longer operational. (24-057)

Approved land use permit 78-03, Willows Owners Association. The permit is for use of Project lands for existing community dock, float and trail section. (24-058)

Authorized award of contract 24-19-D, Distribution Tree Trimming to Wright Tree Service the lowest responsive bid. (24-059)

Approved change order No. 8 to contract 22-13-D, hydrogen production and fueling facility. Changes include field work orders for leak detection and safety, and fire hydrant relocation for an increased cost of $499,948.39 and an extension of time to December 1, 2024. (24-060)

Heard a report on the Douglas County Community Network. The network currently has 8,195 end users.

The next regular meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. June 4, 2024 at the District’s East Wenatchee Office.
