News Release – January 28, 2025
Douglas County PUD Commissioners Molly Simpson, Aaron J. Viebrock and Ronald E. Skagen executed the following actions during the January 28, 2025 Commission meeting held at the District’s East Wenatchee office:
Renewed insurance for non-owned aircraft liability with Starr Aviation. (25-002)
Approved waiving formal bidding requirements to purchase distribution transformers due to market conditions through December 31, 2025. (25-003)
Authorized award of contract 24-40-W, 450 Ton gantry crane gearset and break replacement to Reel COH Inc. after contract negotiations. The contract will not exceed $828,000. (25-004)
Authorized Interlocal Agreement with Grant PUD for the operation of the Carlton Acclimation Facility. This five year agreement defines the responsibilities of each party. (25-005)
Heard a report on the Douglas County Community Network. The network currently has 8,588 end users.
The next regular meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. February 4, 2025 at the District’s East Wenatchee Office.
