Douglas County PUD Commissioners Ronald E Skagen, Molly Simpson and Aaron J. Viebrock executed the following actions during the March 26, 2018 Commission meeting held at the District’s East Wenatchee office:
Authorized renewal of contract 16-12-D, provide Distribution tree trimming services for an additional year with Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC. as allowed by the contract. (18-053)
Approved a call for bids under bid document 18-14-W, supply and deliver one truck/chassis with 2,500 gallon fish transport tank to the Wells Fish Hatchery. The existing trucks and tanks are no longer reliable and have reached the end of their useful life. (18-054)
Authorized a call for bids under bid document 18-16-W, supply and deliver one truck/chassis with 1,500 gallon fish transport tank to the Wells Fish Hatchery. The existing trucks and tanks are no longer reliable and have reached the end of their useful life. (18-055)
Approved a professional service agreement with Biomark, Inc. for PIT tags and related detection equipment and services for 2018-2021. PIT tags manufactured by Biomark are the only tags that work with the detection systems installed at Columbia River dams. The cost is not to exceed $834,000 and the contract will expire March 31, 2021. (18-056)
Authorized the third year of a cooperative work agreement with US Department of Agriculture regarding replacement of avian exclusionary wires at Wells Dam. Exclusionary wires suspended above the tailwater at the Wells Hydroelectric Project help Douglas PUD meet HCP survival standards, aid in deterring piscivorous birds from feeding on outmigrating salmonids and are a requirement of the HCP. This agreement will not exceed $15,606. (18-057)
Approved agreement with the City of Bridgeport for the expansion of Conklin Landing RV Park. (18-058)
